Types of Fasts #5 Daniel Fast

Daniel fast (or vegetarian fast)
i. Daniel ate “pulse” which was an air dried mixture of fruits, nuts and seeds
ii. Today, what most people call a “Daniel Fast” is just a vegetarian diet (not necessarily vegan)
iii. What NOT to eat
1. Meat products
2. Poultry products
3. Some people choose to eliminate fish from their diets also
4. Anything processed
5. Fast food or junk food
iv. What TO eat
1. Fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds
2. Eat everything as close to the way God made it as possible. This means raw, whole foods like an apple (not applesauce) or an orange (not orange juice).
3. Raw whole foods have enzymes that make your body work better so choose them as often as you possibly can
4. If you just can’t stand raw foods (I don’t know why since they are so delicious!), then steam them lightly but don’t buy them already cooked
5. Remember, the more raw foods you put into the body the better the body works and eliminates those ugly toxins that can cause all kinds of diseases
